Rage Against the Machine tribute coming to the Sawtooth Ridge Cafe

CRYSTAL BAY, Nev. - On the road again.

Acorn Project's Fall tour of 2012 coming to the North Shore of Lake Tahoe

The band plays Friday, Oct. 19, in the Crystal Bay Casino Red Room following the John Brown's Body concert and the following night in the Sawtooth Ridge Cafe, Saturday, Oct. 20.

In anticipation of an upcoming Halloween run the band will be performing the music of Rage Against The Machine and WEEN along with their own irresistibly unique original material.

Acorn Project combines deep electro-funk grooves and sonic instrumental exploration interlaced with a provocative indie-rock song writing ability. As a longtime staple on the touring circuit of the Pacific Northwest, the sextet has spent the past three years expanding their region and is a recognizable touring machine on the West Coast, British Columbia, and out through Colorado and the Southwestern United States.

Of note, the release of Acorn Project's sophomore effort "Generation Debt" has been widely accepted by fans all over the country. National radio play on more than 550 CMJ radio stations, the 2010 What's Up album of the year, and an eight week No. 1 debut on Relix/Jamband.com national radio chart are a few of the albums recent achievements. 'Generation Debt' boasts intricate lyricism and a dark tone "that is simply perfect for the times."

"Generation Debt" will be available for purchase at the performance and is also available online through iTunes.

Acorn Project at Sawtooth Ridge Cafe will begin at 9 p.m. with door at 8 p.m.

Sawtooth Ridge Cafe is located at 877 N. Lake Tahoe Blvd. in Tahoe City and be reached at 530-583-2880 or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sawtooth-Ridge-Cafe.
