The Truckee boys and girls soccer teams both shut out visiting Whittell in their final home games of the regular season this past Saturday, with the girls earning a 5-0 win and the boys 7-0.
The teams were scheduled to end their regular seasons at South Tahoe on Thursday.
The Truckee boys need a win against South Tahoe to wrap up the Mount Rose League title, which would give them an identical 9-1 league record as Sparks. The Wolverines own the tiebreaker in that instance based on defeating Sparks in the teams' second league meeting.
The Truckee girls, meanwhile, enter Thursday's game at South Tahoe as a No. 3 postseason seed. If the girls defeat second-seeded South Tahoe, however, they will take over the No. 2 seed in the Northern Division I-A regional tournament next week.
Truckee's girls left no doubt against Whittell, a team they tied back on Sept. 11. The Wolverines jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead and added two more goals in the second.
Kaylee Neill led the way with two goals, while Shannon Cardoza, Quinn Parker and Emma Warren each contributed one goal to the win. Parker and Olivia Duner each picked up an assist.
Stats were not available from the boys game.
