TRUCKEE, Calif. - Moody's Bistro Bar & Beats in historic downtown Truckee is excited to announce "The Olympic Experience," a slide-show presentation by Olympians Katerina Nash and Daron Rahlves on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 8:30 p.m. "The Olympic Experience" is the next episode of Moody's popular "First Tuesday" event, a monthly artisan and outdoor sports-focused slide show highlighting talented people and nonprofit organizations of Tahoe-Truckee. Katerina Nash and Daron Rahlves will share photos and talk about their personal experiences of becoming Olympian athletes and what is it like to participate in the games. Both Katerina Nash and Daron Rahlves have a special accomplishment in common, not only are they both Olympians, Katerina and Daron will go down in history as the most decorated athletes in their sports. At 34 years of age, Katerina Nash is one of the most accomplished mountain bikers in North America. She has become one of the most winning riders in the US National series history and is a four-time Olympian, making her one of the most experienced Olympians across all sports at London. Daron Rahlves's story is similar; Rahlves is the most decorated American Downhill and Super G skier in history. Daron won 12 World Cup races, had 28 World Cup podiums, seven US National Titles, is the 2001 World Champion in Super G, Silver medal at the 2005 Worlds in DH and Bronze medal in GS.Moody's First Tuesday event, "The Olympic Experience" will be an opportunity for people to discover the fascinating stories of these two talented Olympic athletes of the Truckee community.
