TRUCKEE, Calif. - In the spirit of community, the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association will host its monthly "First Friday" event on Friday, Nov. 2, 5-8 p.m. in downtown Truckee. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this free community event.This month's theme is "Hot Toddies and Sweet Treats." In anticipation of the arrival of the winter season, participating businesses will offer a range of warm beverages and sweet treats in addition to featured artists and artworks, live music, wine tastings, refreshments, special sales, and more.This month's participating businesses include: Art Obsessions; Backstreet Boutique; Bespoke; Cabona's; Gratitudes Gifts and Home Dcor; Kitsch; La Galleria; Lorien Powers Studio; Mo, Jo & Zoe; Mountain Home; Nox Fashions, The Cooking Gallery; The Treehouse; Riverside Studios; Sipes Tahoe; White Buffalo and more. Participating merchants will display "First Friday" flags. Free parking will be available downtown after 5 p.m. TDMA's First Friday festivities take place throughout the year in downtown Truckee on the first Friday of each month, 5-8 p.m. In December, "First Fridays" will happen every Friday through Dec. 21.
