Peter George Lahner a long time resident of Incline Village passed away on October 11th 2012 at the age of 73. Peter was born September 10th 1939 in Budapest Hungary. At age 17 he was a freedom fighter for the Hungarian revolution and was able to escape to America in 1956. He lived in New Jersey and worked in New York, where he had much success in business.
He was the only man at the time able to repair printing machines. He dreamed of moving to California and eventually relocated his family to Santa Monica in 1973. Peter owned a Audi/Porsche auto repair business for many years in the Santa Monica area. He moved his family and business to Simi Valley where he met his wife Brenda.
Peter and Brenda moved to Incline Village in 1982 and resided there until January 2012 at which time they retired and moved to Cabo San Lucas. For 6 beautiful months they were able relax and enjoy the wonderful weather and people of San Jose Del Cabo, but sadly at the end of July Peter's health declined and they returned to Nevada.
Family was very important to Peter, he was surrounded by the family he loved until the end of his life. He is survived by his wife Brenda, of 32 years, his 3 daughters Ellen, Rita (Bryan) and Maureen (Jerry) stepsons Shaun, Boyd (Jamie) grandchildren Amanda (Chris) Natasha (Shad) Dylan, Rachael, Lynzey, Megan, Lauren and great grandson Shane.
