The dinner will start at 5:30 pm at the Carson Nugget in Carson City. The Area 9 Rotary Clubs are: Carson City, Carson City Sunset, Minden, South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe-Douglas.

She is passionate about issues in developing nations such as clean water, the education of girls, literacy, maternal health and environmental conservation. LeGate has traveled with Rotary for a decade to places such as Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda, Vietnam and India. A veteran reporter, anchor and documentary producer, she speaks around the world sharing Rotary's polio story. For her humanitarian work in Africa and Asia, Rotarians have awarded Penny five Paul Harris Fellowships.

General public and all Rotarians are welcome to attend the event. Seats are limited and tickets cost $42 per person. Meal choices include filet mignon, salmon or vegetarian and wine during dinner is included.
