Wow! I just received a survey request from IVGID regarding the Mountain Golf Course. I took the survey and could not believe the question I was asked.
Should we raise the recreation fees to pay for a new clubhouse for the golfers?
Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, we should raise the green fees to pay for other things, such as cheaper gym fees. Many more people would benefit from lowering gym fees, not to mention the increase in gym membership due to reduced membership fees would add to revenue.
Golfers are a select few compared to users of our other recreational facilities and areas. Why should the "many" pay more so the "few" can have a better clubhouse?
I say raise your green fees and pay for it yourself.
