Friends of the Library to host book sale

South Lake Tahoe Friends of the Library will host a book sale Saturday, Nov. 17, at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library.

A large selection of hardcover and paperback books, DVDs, VHS and books on tape will be available for puchase. Sales will benefit Friends of the Library, which sponsors free programs for children, teens and adults. Donations from the Friends of the Library also go toward the purchase of new books, DVDs and CDs for the Library. Due to the failure of Measure L, the book budget for the library is frozen. Without the group's support, the library will not be able to continue providing many of the services it currently offers.

The sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the library's conference room, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. For more information, call 530-573-3185.
