Jamie Anderson movie festival seeks used jackets, will give out new gear

Donate a jacket and receive giveaways.

The third annual Tall Treez Film Festival with host Jamie Anderson will accept used jackets and gear in exchange for two raffle tickets and a chance to win new gear. In addition, the first 200 in the door will get a Sierra-at-Tahoe lift ticket and a raffle ticket.

The cover charge is $12 and the venue is the Horizon Casino Resort. Five movies will be show and music will be provided by Dreda Dre's Irieyes. He plays hip-hop, reggae and dub.

Anderson is a four-time X-Game gold medal winner and South Shore Native. She will sign autographs form 6 to 7 p.m. The movies start at 8 p.m. Nick Poohacoff and other Tahoe riders also will attend.

The donated jackets goes to local children in need of gear.

Sponsors include Tall Treez, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Billabong. Vendors are Renew Bamboo, Enlightened Jewelry, Buttermuffin, The Spot, No Way Snowboards and SheJumps.org.
