Incline JROTC battalion named Best Overall Unit in Vets parade

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - On Friday, November 9, the Incline Village/Crystal Bay Veterans Club presented a $650 donation to the Incline High School Highlander Battalion, to offset the cost of activities and events, during the Veterans Ceremony in High School Theater.

Members of the Highlander JROTC Battalion hosted the Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday at Incline High School during the annual Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony.

Two days later - on the holiday itself, Sunday, Nov. 11 - cadets marched in the Veterans Day Parade in Virginia City, and received an award for Best Overall Marching Unit, with 63 cadets in attendance out of a 103 cadet total.

During the parade, the Battalion took in just more than $345 in donations for the Veteran's Guest House in Reno.
