Samuel W. Linderman was born in Wichita KS to Merrill and Ida Linderman. Sam passed away November 13, 2012, at age 75, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 year, Mary Ann Linderman of Incline Village, NV. Also surviving him are his daughter, Valerie Tidwell (Jerry) and grandchildren Sydney and Dane of Henderson, NV. He was predeceased by his son, Ward Linderman.
Sam was much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He wore many different hats in his varied careers. He enlisted in the U. S Marine Corps which led to his acceptance into the Naval Cadet Air Training Command.
After qualifying and serving ad a jet pilot he then went on to become an instructor in the Advanced Flight Training Command. Following his military service he spent 10 years as an Air Traffic Controller. His love of model railroading led to his partnership in a hobby shop that featured trains and a large variety of radio controlled cars and aircraft.
Sam and Marry Ann retired to Incline Village in the late 1990's to pursue their enjoyment of the outdoors lifestyle.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
