Bob Wolff passed away after a lengthy battle with lung cancer and heart disease in Palm Desert CA on November 8, 2012. His family had time with him to bid farewell. Bob leaves behind to mourn his loss, his wife of 41 years, Cindy. His daughter Tara Wolff Lindsey, Elan and Rhett Robert, his grandchildren of Tahoe Vista CA, his son Robb Wolff, Blake, Breezy and Cassidy, his grandchildren of Burbank, CA, and his son Denny Wolff, his grandchildren Grant, Justin and Emily of Ceres, CA, will remember a kind, fun loving and exceptional father and grandfather.
Bob came to the north shore (Tahoe City)of Lake Tahoe in August 1969 and was involved in the 1970's building boom. He worked for numerous building contractors and later had his own construction company. Bob will be remembered for his major involvement in the snowmobiling touring industry, and with the USFS in advocating multi-use enjoyment of our national forests here in the Tahoe basin. He and his family and friends operated Snowmobiling Unlimited 24 years. Bob loved and enjoyed the snowmobile sport, garnering the nickname "The Guru of Snowmobiling".
For those who knew and loved him, he never had an enemy, strode through life with a great sense of humor and a casual elegance. He loved life to the extreme, relished time with family and friends and enjoyed all that Lake Tahoe and the Sierras offered to him. He will also be greatly missed by his dear friends on the beach in Baja, Mexico where he and his family enjoyed the warmth of the seaside after our snow seasons for many years.
A notice will be published regarding his pending funeral services to be held in Tahoe City in May 2013. Friends are invited to honor and celebrate his life at that time.
