Mary B. Sturcke passed away on November 8, 2012, in Renown Medical Center due to complications from surgery. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to James and Catherine Wilson. During World War II she met and married Martin. They were married for 64 years until he passed away in 2008.

In 1951 they moved to Truckee when Martin was assigned by the California Highway Patrol. Their first winter in Truckee - 1951-1952 - was a memorable one. For many years she operated a child care service. She also was a volunteer at Tahoe Forest Hospital.

She is survived by sons Garry and John of Truckee, grandson William of Loyalton, granddaughter Lynette of Redding and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Elizabeth and Kathleen and brother James of England.

At her request there will be no service.
