Fall Festival brings community togetherOn Saturday, Oct. 27 the Tahoe City Parks and Recreation Department held their 4th annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch and a success it was! On behalf of the Recreation Department, we thank all the participating organizations and volunteers from North Tahoe Middle School and Squaw Valley Academy that came out to support this great event. Community organizations that participated included Tahoe Community Nursery School, local Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troops, Tahoe Safe Alliance, Liberty Energy, North Tahoe Leadership Program, North Tahoe Family Resource Center, Twin Ridges Charter School, Creekside Cooperative Charter School, and Lake Tahoe School. Rancho Red Rock made the pony rides in the snow fun for all, the music was provided by DJ Retro, while the Tahoe Mother's Club put on a great haunted house. The event wouldn't have been complete without the creativity of Sean the Balloon Guy and stellar face painting by Giggles and Grin Face Paint. Thank you for your continuous support in making this a successful event year after year. Thanks to STEM Career Fair Supporters! On Oct. 25, 2012 more than 200 TTUSD and Incline High School students and their parents attended the first STEM Career Fair at Truckee High School.
