Five lifts and 1,035 acres of skiable terrain are now open at Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

The resort has received nearly 5 feet of snow this month and is operating Chair 1 (Snowkirk), Chair 5 (Solitude), Chair 6 (Cornice Express), Chair 10 (The Wall) and Chair 11 (The Reut). Kirkwood is open top to bottom and as far east as Eagle Bowl and as far west as Rabbit Runs.

Forecasts are calling for another storm system to move in Wednesday evening and drop up to 18 inches of snow on Thursday and Friday.
