Jesus Chavez was abruptly taken from this earth to walk amongst the Angels in Heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.
He had a love for life, family, friends, the beach and sunsets. His powerful outlook on life touched many individuals as he tried to help each person, when he could, with their individual needs. Jesus was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was gentle and sensitive, adamant at times, but loving and humorous. He never failed to make you laugh. He was a very forgiving person, and found the good in everyone.
Jesus is terribly missed by the whole family and we will never forget the times we were able to share with him as they will be treasured for the rest of our lives.
Jesus is survived by his loving parents, Miguel and Socorro Chavez of Truckee; brothers Miguel (sister-in-law Debbie) and Salvador (sister-in-law Melany), sisters Alma (brother-in-law Rafael), Maria (brother-in-law Juan), Engracia and Margarita; and numerous relatives and friends throughout the US and Mexico.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. and a Mass will follow on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. both at Assumption Catholic Church, 10930 Alder Drive, Truckee, CA.
The family requests that in lieu of sending flowers a donation be made in his name to a charity of your choosing.
