Incline Village pile burning operations moved to Dorcey, Tyner areas

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District plans on burning approximately 5 acres on Tuesday in the Tyner and Dorcey subdivision areas, officials said.

Smoke resulting from the pile burns will affect the surrounding areas for approximately 24 hours," according to an NLTFPD press release. "People who are smoke sensitive are advised to please stay inside and close their windows and doors as much as possible until the smoke dissipates."

Fire crews had initially planned to burn piles Tuesday in the Wood Creek area but moved to Dorcey and Tyner due to an excessive snow load in the Wood Creek drainage area.

For information, or to be added to the district's smoke sensitive notification list, call the district at 775-831-0351, ext. 0, or visit www.nltfpd.net.
