USASA South Tahoe Series hosts bowling kick off

The United States of America Snowboard Association South Tahoe Series is hosting a winter kick off and recruiting party at Tahoe Bowl on Monday from 6-8 p.m. Anyone interested in competing in the series is welcome to attend. All USASA members are asked to bring a guest to introduce them to the South Tahoe Series. Bowling and shoe rentals are free and any South Tahoe member who brings a guest will receive a $10 discount off their first event entry this season. Parents are invited to attend so that they can learn more about the series and how their child can compete. Competitors do not need to be team members or sponsored. All ability levels can come compete. For more information about the USASA South Tahoe Series, contact ca@usasa.org.

The USASA South Tahoe Series will host 16 events this season. The events hosted are slopestyle, halfpipe, boadercross, rail jam, slalom and giant slalom. Events will be held at both Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort and Heavenly Mountain Resort. Events are open to competitors from 5 years old to 60-plus. Slopestyle, halfpipe, boardercross and rail jams are open to skiers and snowboards. Competitors will vie for points throughout the season to qualify for the national championships.
