The Incline boys basketball team dropped three games against larger schools in the Carson High Tournament this past Thursday through Saturday.
The Highlanders opened with a 73-45 loss to Division I Wooster on Thursday. They followed with a 75-49 loss to DI Hug on Friday and 59-49 to Division I-A Sparks of their Mount Rose League pod on Saturday.
Against Sparks, Jack Clouthier led Incline with 17 points, including five 3-pointers. Matt Hanna added eight points and six rebounds, while Jack Bessette had six points and four steals, and Jared Skowronski had four rebounds.
Keiffer Putman led Sparks with 17 points, and Bobby Brown had 15.
Clouthier was Incline's high-point man against Hug, finishing with 11 points. Tommy Thompson and Ben Snyder each posted nine points and Bessette had seven. Snyder grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and Hanna had eight.
Hanna scored 19 against Wooster, Skowronski contributed nine points and Snyder had seven points and 12 rebounds. Bessette dished out five assists.
UP NEXT: Incline is scheduled to host Sierra Lutheran on Monday, Silver Stage on Tuesday and Coleville on Friday.
The Incline girls lost a nail-biter, 43-42, at Fernley on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
After trailing 23-21 at the half, the Highlanders outscored the Vaqueros 16-7 in the third quarter to take a 37-30 lead into the fourth.
But Fernley stormed back with a 13-point final quarter to Incline's seven to take the win.
