Woman taken to hospital in Cave Rock collision

A 48-year-old Carson City woman was injured in a collision at 7:32 a.m. today on Highway 50 at Cave Rock.

Patricia Schille was westbound in a silver Subaru near Cave Rock Tunnel when it appears she crossed over the centerline colliding with a maroon truck driven by South Lake Tahoe resident Richard Kline, 58, according to a preliminary investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Schille was taken by ambulance to the Barton Tahoe Hospital for nonlife threatening injuries. The highway's eastbound lane was closed temporarily while the crash was investigated.
