was born in Anchorage Alaska on September 8, 1938. He passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Coulee Dam, Washington. He graduated high school at 17. He was in the army from 1961-1967 and he worked for the telephone company. In 1965 he had a husky named Grizzly that he claimed was his favorite dog that he ever owned. Griz went everywhere with him including hiking to the top of Mt Tallac. He married Carol Beauchamp in 1965 and had two children with her, and also became Dad to her two sons. He eventually moved all of us up to Washington. We lived in Chattaroy and then we all moved to Okanogan, Washington, where he remained with the phone company until he retired after putting in 44 years with them. He had remarried and stayed in Okanogan. He was very proud of his children and loved to come and visit us in Tahoe. He loved to hunt and fish, and was an amazing man. Never a day went by that he didn't tell a joke and make someone laugh! He is survived by his wife Janet, (Okanogan) and by his children Anthony Forese-Nelson (Lake Tahoe) Erika Nelson (Lake Tahoe) Einar (Jodie) Nelson (Lake Tahoe) and two stepchildren, Kate and Ace, and his grandchildren Nicole, (Wenatchee,WA) Cody, Kjeleena, Isaiah, Kallie, Kaelin, and Kiana. (All of Lake Tahoe) and his sister Mary Carol Nelson, (Leavenworth, WA) her children Svea (Idaho) and Stein Eric (WA)and his cousins Robert (Wendy) Littlepage,( Applegate, Ca) and cousins Dick, Robert and Joe Thomas (Santa Fe, New Mexico) He was predeceased by his parents Einar (1983) and Evelena (1994) Nelson, and his son Bill Nelson (1984). He knew The Lord and knew where he was going. He never lost his sense of humor. He also had a million friends that thought the world of him and he felt the same of them... Including Ed (Shirley) Bayne of Meadow Vista, to whom he has been best friends with since 1951 and Bret Fields of Omak, Washington, who took him to Mexico for the fishing trip of his life in 2008. There are too many friends to mention here. Services were held on November 24, 2012.
