LAKE TAHOE - The Nevada Division of State Lands has funding available to implement Environmental Improvement Program projects on the Nevada side of the Lake Tahoe Basin, officials announced last week.
In order to be eligible, projects must be identified in the current Environmental Improvement Program, be a benefit to the general public and, if the project includes the treatment of storm water, the storm water must be shown to be connected to a surface water body
Eligible projects include water quality and stream environment zone restoration and enhancement projects. Non-state agency applicants must provide a minimum of 25 percent in matching funds.
Pre-applications are due Jan. 11 by 5 p.m. Eligible projects will be invited to submit a full application, which will be due Feb. 15. The grants are not available to California agencies or residents.
