South Lake Tahoe residents will hold a candlelight vigil for Alyssa Byrne, the 19-year-old Petaluma resident who was found dead after leaving the SnowGlobe Music Festival, next week.
The vigil will take place from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Commons, according to a event posting on Facebook.
"We will honor the life that was lost by lighting a candle in remembrance of Alyssa, and to celebrate the spirit of the Lake Tahoe Community that values all of our children," according to the post.
The vigil is also being held "to reach out to her family and loved ones."
Lakeview Commons is located at the intersection of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue.
