INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - Tahoe Family Solutions thanks Lake Tahoe School staff, parents and students for their participation in the annual holiday Giving Tree program.
In its fifth year, the collaboration between Tahoe Family Solutions and Lake Tahoe School helped ensure a joyful holiday season for local families who are most in need. In all, 77 community members were identified by Tahoe Family Solutions, and Lake Tahoe School staff and parents donated holiday gifts of jackets, boots, clothing and household items to fill the holiday wish lists.
"The spirit of holiday giving thrives with the partnership," said Leslie Blunden, program director at Tahoe Family Solutions. "We are grateful to the staff, parents and students of the Lake Tahoe School for their participation in the meaningful Giving Tree program."
Added Kris Nugent, Dean of Students at Lake Tahoe School: "Each year, our Lake Tahoe School families and students look forward to our annual collaboration with Tahoe Family Solutions with the Giving Tree. Our student council deserves a lot of praise for collaborating, organizing, and spearheading this project. It's always wonderful to see our kids and families get involved in a community wide project such as this."
In addition to being a family resource center, Tahoe Family Solutions offers psychiatric assistance; child, adult and family counseling; a Homework Help Club; and the children's camping program, Camp Explore.
