TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. - Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are showing community support by providing lift tickets to five nonprofit organizations to sell at a discount. Skiers and riders may show their goodwill by purchasing an affordable lift ticket from Arts for the Schools, KidZone Museum, Sierra Senior Services, Sierra Avalanche Center and Truckee Tahoe Humane Society. Tickets are valid any one day Feb. 3-8, at either Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows or both resorts in the same day, accessed by the free Squaw/Alpine Express shuttle. Rates for the tickets start at $30 per ticket, a savings of up to $69, and must be purchased directly from the nonprofits.
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows provided 300 lift tickets to each participating nonprofit - a total donation of $148,500 at ticket window rates.
