North Tahoe's Konrad Przybyslawski and Truckee's Ruby Wood and Ryan Murphy led their respective high school snowboard teams with top-three finishes in a CNISSF giant slalom race at Alpine Meadows on Monday.
In the boys race, Przybyslawski finished runner-up to Jacob Peek of Placer High, posting a two-run combined time of 1:11.5 to Peek's 1:09.3.
Murphy rounded out the top three in a time of 1:12.2, while Truckee teammate Quinntin Butler was sixth in 1:13.3, Casey Curtis was eighth in 1:14.5 and Colten Roderigue was 17th in 1:20.2.
Trailing Przybyslawski was Lakers teammates Nash Baehr, who placed ninth in 1:16.9.
Celine Holland of Nevada Union captured the win in the girls race with a time of 1:09.9, while Drew Bernadett of Nevada Union was second in 1:10.8 and Wood, who won the opening race the previous week, was third for the Wolverines in 1:11.2.
North Tahoe's Courtney Peters finished fourth in 1:17.6 and Roxy Schumann was fifth in 1:19.2, while Truckee's Claire Roberts was eighth in 1:24.4, Sofie Maciel was ninth in 1:24.9 and Nichole Graham was 11th in 1:27.0. Sierra Aildasani (17th, 1:31.2) and Brie Dubuc (18th, 1:31.3) also posted top-20 finishes.
Wood won the first race of the season, a slalom at Boreal on Jan 7, by six-tenths of a second over Nelly Steinhoff of Colfax, 1:05.0 to 1:05.6.
Peters finished sixth for the Laker girls, while Curtis led the Truckee boys with a third-place finish and Przybyslawski was 10th for North Tahoe.
UP NEXT: A slalom race is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at Boreal.
