Vikings Roundup

Girls keep cruising

The girls used a balanced scoring effort and solid defense to extend their win streak to four with a 51-25 victory at North Tahoe, Tuesday.

Nine of their 10 players scored on the night.

Brooke King led the way with 12 points, Riley Chapman had 10 and five rebounds, Ally King had nine and six boards, Bailey David eight and four assists.

The girls jumped out to a 27-10 halftime lead.

"We moved the ball well against their zone defense and got a lot of open looks at the basket," Mike Neiger said. "I think the girls turned up the intensity on defense tonight, which forced multiple turnovers."

The girls' next home game is Friday against Incline (7-10, 0-1) at 6 p.m. The ladies are 6-9 overall and 2-1 in league.
