OBITUARY: Edward Michael Kazarian

Oct. 26, 1923 - Jan. 14, 2013

Edward Michael was born October 26, 1923 to Mike and Annie Kazarian in Fowler, CA. As a young man, Mike enjoyed playing the saxophone in his high school band. At the age of 18 Mike enlisted in the Navy and served 2 tours of duty. The first tour was during World War 2 and the second tour was the Korean Coflict where he was a member of the Seabees and learned the trade of plumbing. He became a plumber for 34 years. In 1986, he and wife Frances moved to Lake Tahoe. For the next 29 years Mike could be found working at Nel's Hardware. Mike is preceeded in death by his wife Frances Ellen Kazarian who passed away in 1991.

Mike was an active member in the SIRS, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Barton Hospital Auxillary (Attic), Blood Source and The American Legion.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Carole Anne Johnson (Bob) and Pamela Sue Pugh (Jack), grandchildren Steven Johnson, Jennifer Scanio, Chris Johnson, Eric Johnson, and Deena Fantuzzi and great grandchildren Corrine, Chloe and Chandler Johnson, Kaitlyn Mills, Ryan Fantuzzi and Jillian Scanio.

A service will be held at McFarlane Mortuary Chapel on January 24 at 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life immediately following funeral at MacDuff's Pub
