TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. - The Queen of Hearts Women's Fund recently granted four $10,000 grants to nonprofit organizations serving the community. The fund supports the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, education and youth development and the environment. Recent grants include $10,000 to the Tahoe Pyramid Bikeway, a visionary trail from Lake Tahoe along the Truckee River corridor to Pyramid Lake.
"We are excited to be part of a lasting legacy for our region," said women's fund chairperson Nancy Gisko.
Additional grants include Squaw Valley Institute, Project MANA and Tahoe Truckee Reads. The Women's Fund is a program of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation.
