Pile burning to continue Wednesday, Thursday in Incline

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District will continue last week's pile burning efforts, weather conditions permitting, today and Thursday in the Gonowabie subdivision area in Crystal Bay, officials said this week.

Smoke resulting from the pile burns will affect the surrounding areas for approximately 24 hours, according to an NLTFPD press release. People who are smoke sensitive are advised to stay inside and close their windows and doors as much as possible until the smoke dissipates.

For information, or to be added to the district's smoke-sensitive notification list, call the district at 775-831-0351, ext. 0, or visit www.nltfpd.net.
