The Incline boys basketball team dropped its last two Mount Rose League games against Division I-A Truckee and Sparks, falling 42-38 to the Wolverines this past Friday and 60-29 to the Railroaders on Tuesday.
Incline nearly pulled off its second win of the season against Truckee, but the Wolverines used a strong fourth quarter to earn the win.
Truckee senior forward Adam Morgan led all scorers with 20 points, while Jack Bessette scored a team-high 14 points on four 3-pointers for the Highlanders. Christian Biscotti contributed seven points, Drew Bessette and Jack Clouthier each had six, and Tommy Thompson five.
Against Sparks, Incline trailed by only one point, 8-7, after the first quarter. But the Railroaders took over from there, outscoring the hosts 14-8 in the second quarter, 19-9 in the third and 19-5 in the fourth as the Highlanders never managed to get their offense going.
Clouthier led Incline with eight points, while Jack Bessette scored five. The Highlanders were just 2-of-12 on 3-point attempts, and 9-of-37 from the field.
Incline is now 10-11 overall and 2-4 in Mount Rose League play. Sparks is 13-8 overall and 8-2 in league, and Truckee is 8-10 overall and 3-6 in league.
