Community meetings on suicide prevention and youth supports announced

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. - The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee, Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, YoungLife and Nevada and Placer Counties cordially invite you to attend a series of two community conversations to recognize the power of community in building a system of support for area youths.

Thursday, Feb. 7: Coping with a Suicide Loss

A community conversation about coping with a suicide loss, facts and myths about suicide, recognizing the signs of suicidal behavior, and how to help someone you are concerned about and available local resources, with a question and answer period, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Truckee High School Cafeteria.


Tuesday, Feb. 12: Continuing to Build a System of Support for our Communities' Youth

Discuss the changes a community can make to better support the youths. Learn more about what programs and resources are in place and brainstorm what additional supports and culture changes can be created, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Truckee High School Cafeteria
