Senior center to host potluck

South Lake Tahoe Senior Center will have a variety of entertainment at its Friday potluck.

Jerry Cerwonka will provide a humorous presentation with a Valentine theme. He has performed at many venues, including the "Tahoe Variety Show - Traveling Around America" at the Horizon in 2011. He was a professor at Syracuse University for 10 years, acted in about 60 commercials in Hollywood and performed comedy regularly at the Improv in Hollywood.

Francine Garcia will sing songs from the golden oldies. She first sang on stage when she was 3 years old. As a teenager, she came in second In a singing contest with performers from all the schools in San Francisco. Garcia also sang with Anita Louise in various venues for many years as well as in the San Jose Light Opera. In Lake Tahoe, she was in many variety shows for the benefit of the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.

Those attending the Potluck, which begins at 5:30pm, are asked to bring their own plate and utensils. Cornish Game Hen and Pork Tenderloin will be provided. Guests are asked to bring a salad, side dish, fruit or dessert for six to eight people. The program will start at 6:30 p.m.

Members of South Lake Tahoe Senior Citizens Inc. who attend the potluck will be eligible to win a $25 door prize. Guests are welcome and everyone can win cash raffle prizes.

The South Lake Tahoe Senior Center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe.
