Incline alpine skiing | Ian Reeves runner-up in doubleheader at Heavenly

Incline sophomore Ian Reeves represented the Highlanders with a pair of second-place finishes in a Tahoe Basin League doubleheader at Heavenly last week.

Incline also hosted a Tahoe Basin League race on Wednesday, but results were not available in time for publication.

Reeves finished runner-up to North Tahoe's Nico Monforte in the first of two slalom races, as he posted a two-run combined time of 54.53 seconds to Monforte's 51.48. Truckee's Wes Harrington was third in 55.94.

Kyle Reeves finished 19th for the Highlanders, while Daniel Laksch was 31st.

Monforte captured the win in the second slalom race as well, posting a time of 40.51 seconds, while Ian Reeves and South Tahoe's Austin Allen recorded identical times of 43.52 to tie for second. North Tahoe's Lucas early was third in 43.79.

Kyle Reeves was 19th and Laksch 37th.

On the girls side, South Tahoe's Maia won both races. She had a winning time of 54.08 seconds in the first race, to North Tahoe runner-up Jessica Tidd's 58.08, and 43.64 in the second, compared to teammate Mikaela Clothier's 45.27.

Hannah Laurie was the only Incline girl to race, finishing 11th and 13th with times of 1:11 and 54.35, respectively.

South Tahoe won the overall (boys and girls combined) in both races.
