Sierra Agape Center announces new executive director

TRUCKEE, Calif. - Sierra Agape Center announces Jon L. Weedn as its new executive director. Weedn has been a provider of meditation training and retreat facilitation, Healing Touch Bodywork, Yoga for Teens and a Listening Partners Mentor for more than two years with Sierra Agape Center. He brings more than 20 years of experience in management, special events and fundraising in the hospitality industry and has facilitated mindfulness and meditation groups and workshops since 2004. Kimball C. Pier, Sierra Agape Center's founder and executive director has accepted a position as Plumas County's director of mental health services effective Jan. 22, 2013. Pier will remain involved as the vice president of the board of directors and will provide special groups on a limited basis. Replacing Pier as lead consultant and provider of therapeutic services is Robin McMahon, M.A., whose training and expertise is in transpersonal psychology and internal family systems. McMahon has been with Sierra Agape Center as a provider for the past 15 months and sees clients on a donation basis in keeping with Sierra Agape Center's mission and vision of providing holistic therapeutic services accessible to anyone seeking such services.
