Annika Hansen led the Highlanders with an eighth-place finish in the final Tahoe Basin League race of the regular season at Heavenly on Tuesday.
Hansen posted a two-run combined time of 1:02 in the slalom race. Francesca English of North Tahoe took the win in a time of 55.33, while Truckee's Maureen Lebel was second in 58.98 and Mikaela Clothier of South Tahoe was third in 59.64.
Incline's Hannah Laurie also recorded a solid result, as she finished 11th in a time of 1:12. Amanda Pretti had one of the fastest first runs but did not finish her second run.
North Tahoe's girls, with three racers in the top 10, won the team competition with 198 points to runner-up Truckee's 188 and South Tahoe's 187.
Kyle Reeves led the Incline boys in 20th place (1:11), while teammate Daniel Luksch was 39th (1:24).
Hughston Norton of Whittell edged North Tahoe's Nico Monforte, posting a time of 52.23 to Monforte's 52.27, while Scotty Lebel of Truckee was third in 55.66.
South Tahoe's boys took the team win with 200 points. North Tahoe's boys were second with 196, followed by Whittell with 168 and Truckee with 154.
North Tahoe won the overall (boys and girls combined) with a score of 394 points. The Lakers were followed by South Tahoe (387), Truckee (342), Whittell (326), Douglas (287), Carson (108) and Incline (166), which did not have a complete team.
Last Wednesday the Highlanders hosted a race at Diamond Peak, and Pretti and Hansen represented their home mountain well with fifth- and sixth-place finishes, respectively.
Maia Bickert of South Tahoe won the race in a time of 1:08, while Pretti finished in 1:09 and Hansen in 1:10. Laurie finished 15th in 1:18 to round out the Incline scores.
Reeves led the Incline boys in 11th place, posting a time of 1:14. Norton won in 1:05.
UP NEXT: The state championship races are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25-26, at Sierra-at-Tahoe.
