If you are on the fence with regard to the TRPA regional plan, and you want make a decision as to the plan's ability to save the lake, then you can begin to decide based on information provided in the Bonanza's opinion pages. All you have to do is compare the ramblings of Ed Gurowitz and the sophisticated letter offered by Ellie Waller to the Bonanza.
It appears Ed, a former employee of TRPA, and a former homeowner in Incline Village, has some sort of agenda to appease TRPA.
Ellie comes off as a concerned citizen focused on the lake's future. She is offering common sense statements and concerns.
Ed comes off as nothing but a local blow-hard offering mindless rhetoric, and casting those who are filing a lawsuit as fools.
The beauty of the lake is in danger with your unsubstantiated offerings. Only TRPA and the developers agree with Mr. Gurowitz.
It is beyond responsible journalistic standards to continue to allow Mr. Gurowitz to write week after week and to expand on the ridiculous.
The lake needs intelligent, comprehensive reporting, from competent authorities, not self-serving opinion columns written by an amateur journalist.
