Santa Cruz based funk band SambaDá will be among the talent at this year’s Trails and Vistas World Concert.
The event takes place at the Shakespeare Amphitheater at Sand Harbor State Park Saturday, Sept. 6.
“SambaDá, a funk band based in Santa Cruz, dubbed ‘the West Coast’s hottest Brazilian band,’ playfully blends funk, reggae and salsa for a beat that brings audiences to their feet with high-energy percussion and danceable grooves during a visually dynamic show,” according to a press release from Trails & Vistas. “SambaDá works and plays for social justice, peace and the respect of all cultures and peoples.”
Aerial dancers, flutist Ann Licater, the San Jose State University Symphony Orchestra and violinist Scarlet Rivera are also scheduled to perform at the September event.
The world concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $23 and go on sale May 19. Tickets are available by calling 800-747-4697 or visiting https://laketahoeshakespeare.com. For more information visit www.trailsandvistas.org.
