INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — American singer, songwriter and actor Billy Ray Cyrus will perform July 4 and 5 as part of the annual Red, White and Tahoe Blue festival.
According to the nonprofit festival, Cyrus will join the Reno Philharmonic during the orchestra’s outdoor concert on Friday, July 4, at the Village Green.
Cyrus will perform the song “Some Gave All” — which honors fallen heroes and veterans — alongside the orchestra in a concert that will celebrate the 200th anniversary of The Star-Spangled Banner, and also conclude with synchronized music to the festival’s fireworks display over Lake Tahoe.
On Saturday, July 5, Cyrus and his band will perform an outdoor concert at the Village Green, located across the street from Incline and Ski beaches.
Cyrus is best known for singing the smash country hit “Achy Breaky Heart” on the 1992 album “Some Gave All.” The album was his most successful, certified 9-times platinum.
The Flatwoods, Ky., native is also known for his acting, starring in the television show “Doc” from 2001 and 2004. In 2005, he co-starred in the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” with his daughter, Miley Cyrus, until 2011.
This marks the third consecutive year Red, White and Tahoe Blue will host an outdoor concert at the Village Green. In 2012, San Francisco 80s cover band Tainted Love performed, followed by a twin bill in 2013 featuring Pablo Cruise and The Elvin Bishop Band.
