2010 Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture collectible sticker announced

Elizabeth Carmel / Provided to the Tribune"Sunset, Bonsai Rock" by Elizabeth Carmel has been selected as the fourth Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture collectible sticker.

“Sunset, Bonsai Rock” by Elizabeth Carmel has been selected as the fourth Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture collectible sticker.

Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture Becky Bell said the photograph honors the alpine lake sanctuary and “our interconnectedness with nature and one another.”

Carmel is an award-winning landscape photographer and retired urban planner from Truckee.

To promote the local art community, each year Bell creates a collectible sticker that features artwork from a local artist that captures the essence of Lake Tahoe. With only a limited print run, the stickers can be found at shops and events throughout Lake Tahoe and Truckee.

“Like my website, Elizabeth’s photos give us a strong sense of place and belonging,” Bell said. “Powerful images by local artists such as ‘Sunset, Bonsai Rock,’ spark conversations and connections among people as they relive their experiences at Lake Tahoe.”
