Continuing the presence of renowned country stars on Tahoe’s South Shore at the end of July is Keith Urban, a four-time Grammy Award winner whose eighth studio album “Ripcord” released in May. On Friday, July 29, at 7 p.m. he visits Harveys Outdoor Arena for the second time in a three-day span.

“John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” the second song on the newly-released “Ripcord” album, broke records for Urban.

“It not only set an historic country radio mark for the highest one-week spin count and point total on Country Aircheck/Mediabase, it extended Urban’s lead as the artist with the most consecutive top-10 songs on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart, a streak that started in August of 2000,” according to his online biography.

The New Zealand-born artist, known for songs such as “Cop Car,” “Little Bit of Everything,” “Wasted Time” and “Break on Me,” also held a four-season judging stint on American Idol.

“The 2015 CMA Awards brought Urban his fourth win for Vocal Event of the Year (“Raise ‘Em Up,” featuring Eric Church). It marked the first time in history that any artist has received the award in three consecutive years,” according to the bio.

Urban, a Grand Ole Opry member, has also captured 11 Academy of Country Music Awards.

Tickets to see Urban start at $63.24 plus tax and fees and are available through http://www.ticketmaster.com and http://www.apeconcerts.com.

Harveys Outdoor Arena is located at Highway 50 and Stateline Avenue in Stateline.
