On the Hill: The gloom before the storm

On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe's ski conditions every day.

Breakdown: Join On the Hill reporter Brian Hamilton for a run down California Trail at Heavenly. The storm is moving in and wind and fog are the theme today. Low visibility and icy conditions are prevalent today. If you do come up today bring goggles with good low light lenses. High winds may affect lift operations today, so check before you head up. The best bet is to head out on Friday after the storm drops all the snow and clears out.

Field report: 0” in past 24 hours. The incoming storm has brought moderate to high winds, which have created variable snow conditions today.

Weather:Foggy and Windy

Liftline status: No one at the mountain = no lines.

Snowcast: 12-18” of snow are forecasted for tonight and tomorrow along the crest. At lake level it will be more around 6”.
