AARP Driver Safety class to be held

An AARP Driver Safety class for senior drivers will be held Saturday, May 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kahle Community Center, 236 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline, Nev.

The class costs $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers and includes a workbook and the cost of materials. The fee may be paid at the start of the class, which will be taught by Irvine “Irv” Phillips. Pre-registration is required. Call the community center at 775-586-7271 to sign up. Attendees are asked to bring a pen or pencil.

Those who complete the class will be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance.



The final class at Kahle for 2012 will be held Aug. 11, but other classes will be available in Carson Valley and Carson City.
