AARP seeks Tax Aide volunteers
October 6, 2008
AARP Tax Aide, the nation’s largest free tax-return preparation program, is looking for volunteers to assist others with their taxes.
Basic computer skills are a plus, and those interested will receive training in January. AARP provides free tax counseling, preparation and e-filing for low- to middle-income residents and others with their 2008 taxes, with attention to those 60 and older.
If there aren’t enough volunteers, tax-help days will have to be reduced. For more information, call Kay Taylor at (530) 544-4067, or go to http://www.aarp.org/taxaide.
