Alleged shoplifter hung up by polo hats

A 62-year-old Sacramento man was cited and released for allegedly taking two Polo baseball caps from Emerald Bay Trading Co. on Saturday, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.

Store employees saw the man as he stuffed the two hats worth $50 into his clothes and followed him outside where they detained him, the officer said.

— A 24-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was arrested on drunken driving charges after she was pulled over on Lake Tahoe Boulevard for speeding early Sunday morning, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.

— A South Lake Tahoe police officer pulled over a 36-year-old woman who was driving without headlights Friday night and subsequently arrested her on charges of drunken driving, an officer said.
