Bickert takes two at Heavenly
February 1, 2013
Maia Bickert is making it look too easy.
Bickert, a sophomore at South Tahoe, and North Tahoe senior Nico Monforte dominated Wednesday’s Tahoe Basin League doubleheader at Heavenly, each recording a pair of wins on the day.
Behind Bickert, the lady Vikings cruised to two second-place finishes. The boys defended their home turf with two first-place finishes that pushed South Tahoe into first place in the combined (boys and girls) for both slalom races, while North Tahoe finished runner-up and Truckee was third.
The Vikings posted a winning combined score of 413 points in each of the races. The Lakers posted 403 points in the first race and 402 in the second, and Truckee had 315 points in the first race and 300 in the second to finish third in both.
