Bluejacks hold Truckee

The Bluejacks cleaned up Sunday with two wins in a doubleheader against Truckee.

The boys crushed Game 1 by a score of 7-2. Cody Higgins pitched a complete game for the win. He held Truckee to three hits and struck out nine. Higgins also delivered a double and one RBI to help his own cause. Dominic Diana went 2-for-3 with a RBI. Tyler Sharp went 2-for-2 with a walk, two doubles, and three RBI.

The Bluejacks then edged Truckee 11-10 in Game 2. The boys were down 10-7 at the bottom of the seventh, but rallied for the win. With the score tied 10-10, Christian Coats laid down a suicide squeeze to bring Sergio Burgueno in for the winning run. Coats went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Spencer Harnett also smacked a key RBI double during the last inning rally.
