Box lunches benefit court program

The fourth annual CASA Kids Box Lunch fund-raiser is right around the corner. Order lunch in, have it delivered to your office and support CASA all at the same time. April 13 will be the date that businesses can do all three when they order their CASA Kids Box Lunch.

Court Appointed Special Advocates is offering businesses the opportunity to order in lunch for $10 an employee. The lunch includes a turkey or cheese deli-style sandwich, chips, dessert and bottled water. Everything will be delivered fresh to individual businesses before lunch April 13.

CASA, a nonprofit organization working directly with the court, matches trained volunteers with children who have been made part of the dependency court system through no fault of their own. These children have been victims of abuse or neglect. CASA provides a powerful voice in court for these children who have had no voice of their own. The CASA volunteer is an independent advocate for the child’s best interests for as long as they are part of the court system.

Community support is vital to assure that every child lives in a safe environment, free from neglect, and protected from abuse. CASA provides the link of advocacy to the court. You can provide the community link through your support of the CASA Kids Box Lunch.

Call the CASA office at (530) 573-3072 if your business is interested in supporting this great fund-raiser.

All orders would be appreciated by Friday.
