Boys & Girls Club golf tourney is Monday

Submitted to the Tribune

The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe is still accepting sign-ups for its 28th annual golf tournament Monday.

Golfers will receive a round of golf at Edgewood Tahoe, a gourmet buffet breakfast, beverages throughout the day, hors d’oeuvres and drinks at the awards party, Titleist Pro V1 golf balls as tee prizes, $10,000 Hole-In-One chances and Closet-to-the Pin contests on every par 3, plus dozens of free raffle prizes. Silent auction items and drawings include a grand prize Mexico vacation package, flat-screen TV, hotel stays, rounds of golf at courses throughout California and Nevada, artwork, wine and spirits, ski lift tickets and more.

Sponsorship is available for each hole-in-one, all 18 holes, and for tee prizes as well as business networking opportunities. Local businesses are also invited to provide raffle prizes of products, services, meals, overnight stays, rounds of golf, stand-up paddleboard rides, or whatever highlights their particular business.

For details on sponsorship options or to reserve playing spots, visit: http://bgclt.org/event-registration/ or call the Boys & Girls Club at 530-542-0838. Players can sign-up for one of two formats, a more forgiving four-person Scramble, or Best Ball, where each player can test their individual skills. Winners in each category receive prizes.

“What makes this event so special for the Boys & Girls Club is that Edgewood donates the course for the day,” club president Jeff Tillman said. “We couldn’t do it without their generosity and the support of all our sponsors and volunteers.”
