William Ferchland, Tahoe Daily Tribune

A vacation house on the 600 block of Wentworth Lane was burglarized and ransacked by somebody who smashed a window with a brick to gain entry, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.

The owner of the house, which was last visited on Nov. 23, called police on Sunday after the damage was discovered.

The officer said somebody broke dishes and furniture, damaged a stereo, drank liquor, ate food that was found molding, burned holes in the carpet, lighted toilet paper on fire, slept in beds, left condom wrappers, threw clothes around and stole two BB guns.

Neighbors reported seeing two males, described between the ages of 15 and 20 years old and wearing dark, bulky clothing, on the property.
